Since 1995, Butte natives Stace and Nicca Cox have owned and operated this home-style restaurant where everyone is treated like a regular – even on their first visit. Starting at the restaurant when he was just 16, Stace has used his 47 years of experience in the restaurant industry to make the Hanging Five into what it is today. Truly a family restaurant, Spencer and Emma (Stace and Nicca’s children), control the operations necessary for the restaurant’s success. The family mentality does not stop there; the Cox Family credits much of their success to their “extended family” – their employees. Many of whom have been there for years, even decades! Together, this big family proudly serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner in large, satisfying portions that are reminiscent of your favorite homemade meal. The warm service and hospitality will make you feel right at home. The Hanging Five has been a local favorite for decades, offering good food, friendly faces, and a welcoming atmosphere where families and friends can gather.
